The OceanSENSE 4 is a 3,000 m-rated, ROV-mounted subsea leak and cement-return detection system for offshore construction, commissioning, production and decommissioning operations.
OceanSENSE detects minute particles of fluorescent tracing dyes in seawater. The sensor emits high-intensity light at a wavelength matched to the selected dye and analyses the resulting fluorescence, providing clear, software-based detection results without relying solely on visual interpretation.
With a typical detection range of 5–7 metres, the OceanSENSE SW 3K assists operators in locating leaks in hydraulic control systems, flowlines, risers and other subsea infrastructure. It can also confirm structural integrity during commissioning and identify cement returns at the seabed during well construction, plug and abandonment operations.
The bright-light design allows the system to operate while the ROV lights remain switched on, supporting safer and more efficient subsea operations.
