CMP RapidEx™ is a fast-curing, liquid-pour resin barrier sealing system developed for use with compatible CMP barrier cable glands and unions in hazardous-area electrical installations.
Its low-viscosity formulation flows between and around individual cable conductors, helping displace trapped air within the cable gland sealing chamber and create a complete barrier around the cable cores. This approach reduces the risk of voids associated with traditional hand-packed sealing compounds.
RapidEx is designed for fast, clean application. CMP states that the resin installs in seconds and fully cures in less than 40 minutes at 20°C, helping reduce installation time while providing a reliable gas-blocking barrier seal.
