The Parker Prädifa Series OV Ultrathan® Flange Seal is a high-performance polyurethane static seal developed for SAE hydraulic flange connections operating at high and pulsating pressures.
The OV profile is designed as an alternative to conventional O-ring and back-up ring combinations. Its robust geometry and extrusion-resistant Parker polyurethane help prevent O-ring-style pumping and movement during pressure surges, improving sealing reliability and service life. Parker rates the OV series for static SAE flange sealing at pressures up to 600 bar.
Manufactured from Parker Ultrathan® P5008 polyurethane, the standard compound has a hardness of approximately 93 Shore A and provides high extrusion resistance, improved hydrolysis resistance, increased heat resistance and low compression set.
The interference fit on the outside diameter also assists installation by retaining the seal in its housing, including during overhead assembly.
