The R. STAHL 8579/31-506 SolConeX 63A Switched Socket Outlet is a heavy-duty explosion-protected wall-mounted socket designed for electrical power distribution in hazardous gas and dust environments.
Rated at 63A and 200/346–240/415V AC, this red 5-pole configuration provides 3P + N + PE connections with 6 o'clock coding. It is suitable for Zone 1 and Zone 2 gas hazardous areas and Zone 21 and Zone 22 combustible dust areas. R. STAHL lists both ATEX and IECEx (PTB) certification for this model.
The Series 8579/31 incorporates a load disconnect switch with mechanical interlocking, helping prevent the plug from being inserted or removed while energised. The switching handle can be locked in both the 0 and I positions, while self-cleaning lamellar contacts provide reliable electrical connection. The enclosure provides IP66 protection against dust and water ingress.
