The HellermannTyton RELICON PUR 33 490ml is a professional two-component polyurethane cast resin designed for the electrical insulation and mechanical protection of cable connections in low-voltage electrical networks. It can also be used to provide mechanical and moisture protection for medium-voltage cable connections and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.
Supplied in a practical transparent two-chamber pouch with HellermannTyton's Safe-Filling (SF) system, PUR 33 provides excellent flow characteristics and low volume shrinkage. The resin is highly hydrophobic and can cure under the influence of water, making it particularly useful for cable joints exposed to moisture and demanding environmental conditions.
PUR 33 provides strong adhesion to common polymeric cable insulation materials including PVC, XLPE, PE and EPR. Once mixed, the material changes colour from blue to green, providing a useful visual indication during preparation. It is also UV, ageing and weather resistant, halogen-free and designed to provide high resistance to moisture and atmospheric corrosion.
