Woodside Greater Enfield Project – Flying Lead Stabilisation Bags

Project Overview

The Greater Enfield Development is a greenfield project situated west of the company’s existing Enfield and Vincent assets. This development aims to exploit three oil accumulations: Norton-over-Laverda (NoL), Laverda Canyon (LC), and Cimatti.

Technip FMC, our client, invited us to supply Flying Lead Stabilisation Bags with the following requirements:

Constructed using two sandbags, each with a submerged weight of 25kg+.
Connected via rope or saddle.

Challenges Faced

Manual Handling: The need to manage bags weighing a total of 40kg.
Bag Sealing: Stitching the bags post-filling presented operational difficulties.

Solution Delivered

Oceanic Supply provided bespoke stabilisation bags tailored to operational requirements. These bags were designed to ensure no additional load was applied to the product.

Velcro Sealing System: Eliminated the need for stitching or sealing devices.
Remote Operation Friendly: The process could be completed in remote areas without requiring an electrical supply.

By implementing this solution, we enhanced efficiency, reduced manual labour challenges, and ensured a seamless installation process.
