Woodside Greater Enfield Project – Flying Lead Stabilisation Bags

Woodside Greater Enfield Project – Flying Lead Stabilisation Bags

Project Overview

The Greater Enfield Development is a greenfield project situated west of the company’s existing Enfield and Vincent assets. This development aims to exploit three oil accumulations: Norton-over-Laverda (NoL), Laverda Canyon (LC), and Cimatti.

Technip FMC, our client, invited us to supply Flying Lead Stabilisation Bags with the following requirements:

  • Constructed using two sandbags, each with a submerged weight of 25kg+.
  • Connected via rope or saddle.

Challenges Faced

  • Manual Handling: The need to manage bags weighing a total of 40kg.
  • Bag Sealing: Stitching the bags post-filling presented operational difficulties.

Solution Delivered

Oceanic Supply provided bespoke stabilisation bags tailored to operational requirements. These bags were designed to ensure no additional load was applied to the product.

  • Velcro Sealing System: Eliminated the need for stitching or sealing devices.
  • Remote Operation Friendly: The process could be completed in remote areas without requiring an electrical supply.

By implementing this solution, we enhanced efficiency, reduced manual labour challenges, and ensured a seamless installation process.
